Sources of Raw Materials
Generally, we use two sources to get raw materials for preparing handmade ornaments and goods;

a. Bulk purchase of Hallmark gold from the Bank/Wholesale traders.
b. Buy an old piece or damaged items from the clients.

If we buy an old or damaged piece from our clients. We follow any of the following process depending on the items, to establish the gold/silver content before we pay to our clients:

a. To rub an old picece on a touchstone and compare the color with known allows.
b. To heat the scrap (gold/silver pieces) in the hearth.
c. Acid test.
